Our goal in Mayakoba was to establish a new tourist development model that veers away from the traditional model; one in which environmental conservation takes centre stage when seeking compatibility between business and sustainability.
The innovative distribution of the complex maintains a balance in the surrounding environment. The heavy infrastructure is located more than 500 metres from the coast, separated from the most critical ecosystems, such as the mangrove swamp, the dunes and the beach, thus protecting their natural status.
Undertaking the Mayakoba development has been a highly complex engineering project that consists of a professional golf course and three of the five scheduled hotels are already operational.
