Echo-Habitat

The flatland plain of tropical forest that rose out of the sea is mainly a limestone plate with a few surface rivers. The water available to support life runs through the Yucatan Peninsula beneath the surface creating a landscape of collapsed sinkholes or cenotes, which provide drinking water.

In Mayakoba there are several cenotes. As you discover Mayakoba, you will find these cenotes integrated into the resort, particularly along the Golf Course.
