December 3-6, 2020 The Mayakoba Golf Classic at El Camaleón made history in 2007 when it became the first PGA TOUR event to ever be contested outside of the United States and Canada. Today, the Mayakoba Golf Classic is regarded as one of the finest on the PGA TOUR by professionals and spectators alike. The Mayakoba Golf Classic welcomes 132 professional golfers from around the world to Riviera Maya to participate in four rounds of stroke play competition.



With a purse of $7.2 million USD, Mayakoba Golf Classic boasts the largest amount of prize money of any golf tournament in Latin America.

The PGA TOUR Course

Designed by Australian golf legend Greg Norman, El Camaleón is a Par 72, 7,024-yard course featuring ocean-view fairways and winding around the pristine Mayakoba canals. The oceanside course is part of a vast system of mangrove wetlands with minimal undulation. The upper holes are rolling and rocky, with several having tight landing areas. The natural features and ideal playing conditions make El Camaleón a first-rate venue.

A Charitable Event

The Mayakoba Golf Classic is committed to donating significant funds and raising awareness for a range of local, national and international charities. Since its inception, the event has contributed more than $2.5 million USD to a variety of philanthropic causes in an effort to positively affect the communities of Quintana Roo. Beyond donating to these causes, every organization affiliated with the event participates in its volunteer program. More than 600 people donate their time and effort to ensure the Mayakoba Golf Classic is
